KITCHEN &
DINING ROOM

Kitchens

PROJECT
OVERVIEW

A warm and inviting, family orientated kitchen and dining area was the brief set by our clients in Hastings, which we think we achieved by using a palette of Oak, Steel and Copper against rich Navy Blue paintwork with hints of Black. Every element of this shaker style kitchen was designed, made and finished in our workshop to fit perfectly in the room that our site team were renovating.

THE FINER
DETAILS

COPPER

The first thing you see as you walk in is the beautifully patinated Copper work surface, creating a breakfast bar in the centre of the room, which seamlessly sweeps around to give ample work surface around the kitchen.

WALL STORAGE

Providing storage for essential kitchen items, two fabricated Steel units give ample space for crockery and ingredients, whilst keeping the walls light and open.

SINK AREA

A Black mixer tap sits on top of the Copper worktop, set against White metro tiles, Black window frames, and above a White Belfast sink.

.

BOOT RACK

An item we produced at the clients’ request to compliment the various materials found in this kitchen, the Steel, Copper and Oak boot rack provides a space for boots and pegs for coats.

CUPBOARDS

Every cupboard carcass, drawer box and door was handmade and finished in our workshop. As with all of our kitchens, the cupboards are made from Birch Ply. To compliment the worktop, we fabricated Copper handles in house too.

HALLWAY

Victorian style monochrome tiles run from the front door all the way to the kitchen, with the Navy tones of the kitchen doors found on the lower walls and radiators.

.

PARQUET

Running throughout the kitchen and dining room, Oak parquet flooring oozes warmth and character, whilst offering a beautiful surface to sit furniture over.

ALCOVE

Housing the boiler in a useful alcove cupboard, with a sliding door that doesn’t encroach into the room was a great way of keeping the dining space functional and beautiful.

DINING AREA

Solid Cherry framed in Steel, an unlikely mix of materials, but one that works, in this case both as bench seating and an extend-able table which can fit the whole extended family around.
