PROJECT OVERVIEW

We were commissioned by Jean-Paul Gaultier to build a three tier tower for his ‘Fashion Freak Show’ in London, to take on tour around Europe.

THE FINER DETAILS

STRUCTURE

The 6 meter tall internal structure was constructed in Steel with a satin black Spray finish. Designed and fabricated in 3 sections to enable transportation and assembly on site.

COMPONENTS

Efficient mechanisms and pulley systems were required to maneuver the 3 large screens that needed to pass each on tracks with little overhead clearance. Adjustable height airbag suspension was also required to lift the structure and enable wheeling into position.

SCOPE

Bar with built-in fridge, curved door and Zinc worktop, wall mirrors with curved shelving, wall and door cladding. A unique and distinctive design, the executive box emirates to stand out from the crowd.

DESIGN

Working to the designer’s specification, the counter cabinetry is finished in ‘Liquid metal’, the mirror and wall cladding spray finished in dark blue.

DETAILS

Patinated and aged Zinc worktop fabricated in-house, sitting between the cabinetry and mirror which both have complex curves - made by laminating over formers.
